How You Should Really Define Success…
Do you know what I wanted to be when I grew up?
Rich.
I know. #facepalm
But you have to remember… I was stupid poor.
Like no running water in the house poor.
And I thought that the thing that would fix EVERYTHING was money.
I just wanted to be successful.
And keep in mind… success means different things for all of us.
I define it as the feeling I experience when my needs and the needs of my family are met…
…all of my loved ones are well, and I’m showing up on purpose every day while enjoying time and money freedom.
How do YOU define success on your own terms? Not sure?
Let’s figure it out together. Ask yourself these questions…
1. What are the things you DON’T want in your life? (This is often easier than endless possibilities of what you DO want so starting here will narrow things down.)
2. What do you value more than anything else?
3. What would your ideal life look like if nothing stood in your way?
These answers will help you put together a short definition of success so you know what you’re working toward.
Then, you can start to embrace the identity of someone who already has what you want.
You’ll show up and act as if.
You’ll take a deep breath, set the boundaries, and take the action.
But it all starts with getting clear on what YOU want!
