What I Learned On My Journey to Becoming SELF Made

I’m flying home from Miami today where I spent a long weekend with friends, living our best SELF Made lives!

Zak and I got to spend quiet, intimate moments reconnecting and making plans for our future.

I also took some quiet time to reflect on what’s next for me. 

Hint: So. Many. Things.

And, of course, we did Miami upright!

We ate at some mind-blowing restaurants, had a private evening tour of the Rubell Museum, and lazed around on a yacht.

Yes, it was just as magical as it sounds!

But this life just didn’t happen to me.

I created it. Every single second of it.

And before you think I’m gettin’ all high and mighty over here…

You should know that I still think about that little girl who grew up without a bathroom or running water…

Who went to be hungry because there wasn’t money for food…

Who faced adversity at every turn…

Every single day.

And let me also be clear… radically changing my life was NOT easy.

I didn’t have a magic wand in the closet that I pull out when needed.

There was no rich uncle. No clear way out. So, I made one. And you can too.

If you’re not wildly, be-still-my-beating-heart, in LOVE with your life, you can change it.

Starting right now. You can make a different choice.

Tell a different story. Choose to feel a new emotion.

You can say fuck it to fear, dare to be bold, and finally feel alive!

But only YOU can create the life you want to live.

Only YOU can become SELF Made.

The world is waiting for you, dear friend!
