How Building Trust Helps Me Make Sales On Autopilot

It’s finally here…. Tomorrow is MOVING DAY!

I just tucked myself in a corner with my laptop, feet up on a box, coffee in hand to write today’s blog.

I know I’ve been talking about next chapters and when I say the pages just keep turning…I mean it!

It’s wild how everything is falling into place. 

Rain is on spring break this week which is perfect timing with the move. #win

We’re going to do a fun Easter egg hunt (Happy Easter if you celebrate!) and champagne brunch in a bit – our last in this home before we move tomorrow!

I was able to finish some amazing projects I’ve been working on – including a NEW and IMPROVED SELF Made Membership I’m excited to FINALLY reopen (more on this in a minute)!

And Zak and I are feeling so FREE living in one city. It’s like a huge exhale.

Going into 2024, I just decided that things were going to be different.

I felt this pull to shift the offers in my business, launch new things I’m passionate about, and show up more for my family and mySELF.

I created a new identity and I’ve been focused on stepping into it day after day.

And as I said, things are falling perfectly into place.

It all started with making that simple decision AND trusting in mySELF to actually take action on it.

And that’s what I want to talk about with you today… trust.

Now, stay with me on this.

Because trust is KEY for you creating a life and business so good, you’re only jealous of yourSELF!

So, before my coffee gets cold and Zak comes looking for me, let’s get into it!

Do You Trust YourSELF?

So, if you know me, you know that one of my non-negotiables is trust.

If I don’t trust you, you are not going to be in my life. Period. End of story.

Are you that way too?

Most people tell me they are. But here’s the thing I’m wondering…

Do you trust yourSELF?

*crickets*

Ok so what I mean by that is this…

When you set goals or “decide” to do things different, do you actually follow through?

You know…

… Make more money…

… Lose the weight…

… Eat healthier and workout…

… Stop picking fights over stupid shit…

If you answered “no” to any of these things, you’ve broken trust with yourSELF.

Ouch.

Trust me, I know what it’s like.

I can’t count the times in the past when I’ve said, “No really…. THIS time I’m actually gonna do it!”

And then I didn’t.

But I don’t do that anymore. Because if I can’t trust mySELF, who CAN I trust?

I owe it to mySELF to be the most trustworthy person in my life.

To show up for me.

To come through for me.

And so do you.

Listen… trusting yourSELF is the cornerstone of becoming SELF Made.

When you trust yourSELF to show up and do the things you say you will, you build confidence.

You build resilience.

You become unstoppable!

AND, as you know, when trust has been broken, it takes some time to build it back.

You gotta start small. It’s a process.

And that’s ok. We’re here for the processes!

Here’s how…

First… start with creating a new Identity Statement. Try this one on and see if it fits…

I’m the kind of person who does what I say I’ll do.

If that feels a little tight in the thighs, try this one…

I’m the kind of person who keeps their word to the most important person ever… ME!

You can tailor those or design your own from scratch – whatever serves you.

The important thing is to create an Identity Statement that you repeat daily.

In the morning, afternoon, and evening.

In the car, in the bed, over a meal.

When you shower, brush your teeth, and pick up the kids.

All. The. M.F. Time!

Because when you double down on this identity, your brain will get onboard.

THEN, you actually DO the things that you said you would. And your brain will know you’re not playing.

It will start to realize that this is just who you be.

After that, it falls in line and you keep your word – no willpower required.

You become the person who keeps their word to their SELF.

Got it?

Say the Identity Statement. Take the action. Be SELF Made.

So… What’s YOUR new Identity Statement to build trust, step into mind-blowing confidence, and become wildly unstoppable?

If people don’t trust you, they won’t buy from you.

Now let’s talk about trust when it comes to growing your business.

I’ll cut to the chase… if people don’t trust you, they won’t buy from you.

Clear enough?

You know it’s true.

When was the last time you thought…

“I don’t trust this person as far as I can throw them. I know! I’ll give them my money!”

Exactly.

Hear me on this…

People buy people. Then they buy things.

Let me say it again… People buy people. Then they buy things.

So, how do you earn your audience’s trust?

One BIG way is simply showing up when you say you will.

(Isn’t it wild how the biggest impacts come from the smallest things?)

Again… you show up for them. You give them helpful information to solve their problems.

You can do this through your lead magnet or your “freebie” on your website.

Give them a specific tool that solves a specific problem and they are in!

Once they’re in, connect with them. Have a conversation. Help them even more.

Communicate with them regularly.

And before you know it… they trust you. And if they trust you, they buy from you.

Then if they buy from you, you can HELP them. You will get to do YOUR work in the world. You’ll make an impact.
